My little firecracker
Kenna with her first sparkler- love the "no fear" attitude of a two year old (who later spent half the fireworks with her eyes covered)!

Daddy doing the sparkler pass off and Madison waving hers like a pro!

Mackenna and Madison play so nicely together. She is going to have such fun growing up with her cousin! Madison is such a fun little girl and is so very patient with Mackenna.
Kenna is in a Kindermusik class this summer called Creatures in My Backyard. It is the perfect class for her since it combines her current passions-animals and music. Anyway, this past Tuesday the toddlers were pretending they were creeping caterpillars, who then spun into cocoons, and then changed into butterflies to a classical piece. Amazingly, the toddlers seem to have an innate feel for music, so as the key or tempo changed, the children, unprompted, changed their pretend play.
Anyway, Miss Linda said, "Okay caterpillars, now lets sleep inside our cocoons." Mackenna said, "I am not a caterpillar anymore, I am a pupa!" Miss Linda about fell over- so did I! That is my little Ranger Rick who can tell the difference between a meerkat and a prairedog and who thinks Gila Monsters are beautiful...I foresee a many trips to the zoo in our future.
