Goodbye summer!

Mackenna will start preschool this Thursday so I guess summer is officially over! Mackenna's been a joy lately...I am thinking the closer we get to 3 1/2 the better her behavior has been. Timeouts have been few and far between lately and joy of joys she is back to napping each afternoon. She has really become quite the helper, too- I am amazed at how much she is able to on her own now- the entire potty experience- complete with washing hands, flushing and putting herself back together (with ocassional help with her belt and snaps), putting her own shoes on, getting into the car seat and strapping herself in, wiping down the table after dinner, feeding Lucy...she is really growing up. I am also finding myself squeezing out and savoring these last few days where she is my only.

Our playgroup picked raspberries a few weeks ago and so we made raspberry jam to last us the winter- it is soooo tasty!

Before the big sister tour at the hospital (where she showed all the attendees how she nurses "baby Gary" complete with sound effects and told the tour guide that the mom and baby room was "much smaller than the hotel in Indianapolis.")
